More Pics w/ the Swarovski STX65 - 01 Oct 2023

With sunny skies this morning I put the Swarovski STX 65 Spotting Scope Module to the test in the backyard. A pair of White-crowned Sparrows made their first appearance of the season under the feeders, so I gave the scope + Sony a1 + Zeiss 35/2.8 + Digidapter™ DLM a test. 

On the Manfrotto BeFree 2n1 Tripod the rig is a bit wobbly, but manageable. I was able to get some sharp images using Manual Focusing and Magnified Focus-Peaking.

Note: Autofocus will work while depressing the AF BackButton Focus and manually assisting with the focusing ring on the spotting scope, but images are NOT tack sharp.

Camera was set to ISO 6400 to maintain a 1/400 - 1/2000 sec shutter speed. AI Denoise in Lightroom Classic was set to 50%. Slight desaturation of the Blue channel was then performed to remove excess blue vibrance that is added to images after denoise.
